The Story

This is a comprehensive guidebook describing the sport climbing found at the Massif de L’Esterel located near St Raphael in the south of France. The guidebook describes 11 crags in the Gorges du Blavet to the north of St Raphael, plus a further 4 crags to the east of St Raphael.

The rock of the Massif de L'Esterel is a mixture of red granite and rhyolite. These distinctive reddish rocks provide a very different style of climbing from the many limestone crags that are found in the south of France.

The guidebook describes over 750 sport routes (single pitch) from F3 to F8b+. All the routes are shown on colour photo topos, along with a brief description. At the start of each crag there is a location map, access information, and GPS coordinates for the parking areas.

Published in 2018 this guidebook is in French and English text throughout and is the 5th edition of this guidebook.

Number of pages is 192.
Size is 150mm x 210mm (A5).
ISBN is 9782951412682.
