Mt Ida (Psiloritis) Walking Map [11.14]

This map shows all the walking and hiking paths on Mt Psiloritis (Ida) that dominates the centre of Crete, at a scale of 1:30,000. There are many hiking paths in this area including part of the E4 Cretan Way long distance path. Also shown is the new mountain shelter in Lakka Mygerou that has become the starting point for the most popular route to the summit. Also shown on the map are the famous caves of Idaion and Kamares, plus the archaeological site of Zominthos. On the reverse of the map there are a number of proposed walking routes along with a brief description.

Mt Psiloritis consists of 5 summits, which are: Timios Stavros (Holy Cross) 2,456m: Agathias 2,424m: Stolistra 2,325m: Voulomenou: 2,267m: and Koussakas 2,209m.
